Hi, I’m Erik!
I am a compassionate and dedicated licensed therapist based in New York City. Specializing in trauma-focused therapy, I create a safe haven for individuals within the LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC communities, fostering an environment of understanding and affirmation. Drawing from my personal experiences as a Queer, Latine, non-binary therapist, I bring a unique blend of cultural awareness and humility, guiding you through the complexities of systemic oppression with empathy and expertise. Together, let's reset your nervous system and embark on a path towards a more authentic and fulfilling future.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is integrative; I am trained in both traditional talk therapies like psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as body-based approaches to healing like EMDR therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Occasionally, I incorporate hypnotic and ego-state techniques to assist folks with dissociative experiences. As a somatic practitioner, I work with clients to facilitate the mind-body connection as part of their healing journey.
