EMDR THERAPY
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique that aims to help individuals heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn’t require a detailed discussion of the traumatic event. Instead, it focuses on changing the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors associated with distressing memories. During an EMDR session, the individual’s eyes move in a specific way while they process traumatic memories. The goal is to allow the brain to resume its natural healing process.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that integrates somatic (body) and cognitive (mind) processes to address and heal trauma as well as attachment wounds. Unlike traditional talk therapies that primarily rely on verbal communication, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy recognizes the wisdom of the body as a crucial gateway to awareness and improved mental health.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an in-depth form of talk therapy that draws from the theories and principles of psychoanalysis. It explores unconscious conflicts influencing a person’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The process involves examining how past events shape present situations and understanding the underlying dynamics that contribute to psychological symptoms, such as depression and anxiety.
Hypnotherapy
Clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic practice that utilizes facilitated trance to help clients reach heightened focus, concentration and diminished peripheral awareness. In this process, a skilled practitioner deliberately induces a trance to encourage beneficial cognitive, emotional, or physical healing responses.
Ego-State Therapy
Ego-state therapy is a psychodynamic approach that explores internalized conflicts and facilitates communication and cooperation between different aspects of the self.
